Thomas M. Ploskonka has been in accounting since 1971. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he established Thomas M. Ploskonka & Company in 1978.

In addition to practicing accounting, Mr. Ploskonka is well known in the area as an accounting and small business educator and lecturer. He is on the faculty of the Woodbridge Adult Education School, the Metuchen Adult Education Program and, previously, the Edison Adult School. A sought after guest speaker, he has addressed a wide range of business topics at numerous association meetings throughout New Jersey.

Outside of his practice and teaching responsibilities, Mr. Ploskonka enjoys family life, sports and volunteerism. He is a 1992Finance Committee member of the Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce; and a member of the advisory board, Marriott Residence Inn of Somers Point, New Jersey. Mr. Ploskonka is the 1993-1994 Chairman of the Holmdel Recreation Department, where he's been a commissioner since 1992. Recognized for his auditing experience, he was appointed to the Holmdel Township Committee/Ad Hoc Committee to audit the Board of Education's books and records.

In addition, Mr. Ploskonka is the 1994 Chairman of Holmdel Community Day, an honor bestowed upon him in past years.
